Gwen Thompson, executive director of the Mary Todd Lincoln House, holds Emilie Todd Helm’s personal Bible, which she owned before her marriage to Benjamin Hardin Helm in 1856. She was the sister of First Lady Mary Todd Lincoln. The Bible is part of a collection of family artifacts at Helm Place, which eventually will become a museum.
