Ashland mansion was rebuilt according to the original floor plan in 1857, five years after Henry Clay’s death. The house was five years old when a Civil War skirmish occurred not far behind it. The house is now owned by a non-profit foundation, which will mark the 150th anniversary of that skirmish with events Saturday. Photo by Tom Eblen | teblen@herald-leader.com
