The Headley-Whitney Museum has commissioned this and several other bibelots — small decorative pieces of precious gems and metals — to replace those stolen in a 1994 burglary that still ranks as the biggest art theft in Kentucky history. Burglars stole 103 items then worth $1.6 million. The stolen items were never recovered, and the FBI suspects they were melted down. Photo by Tom Eblen | teblen@herald-leader.com
