Ella Corder, a student at Meece Middle School in Somerset, was a bit overwhelmed by the hundreds who attended the annual “I Love Mountains” rally at the State Capitol in Frankfort. She read an essay that won first place in an annual essay contest for school children sponsored by Kentuckians for the Commonwealth, which also sponsored the event.
