Louis Mulligan (1869-1947), a physician and the first president of the Lexington Camera Club in 1936, had been an amateur photographer for many years. He made this photo in 1899 across Rose Street from what is now UK’s Fine Arts building looking east toward Woodland Park. The area was then open fields. Photo courtesy UK Art Museum.
